Calculating the size of MP3 Print E-mail

Nowadays is common to carry in the pocket a small device which bring us the music we want where we want to go in the moment we want to listen to and the reproducers that are usually used, but how to calculate the size of each song and not fail in store them as we used to, here is a formula to calculate the size of the disc and memory.

In order to know what size is the Mp3 files we have to apply an easy formula.

We have to divide the bitrate of the audio file between 8 and multiply by the seconds that last the song.

For example: A file with a bitrate of 192 Kpbs and of 200 seconds of duration occupies, 192/8 * 200 = 4800 KB or which is the same 4800 / 1024 = 4,68 MB.

Other significant data is that a mp3 file with a bitrate of 128 Kbps occupies 1 MB approximately for each minute of song.
